Purchasing Administrator

£Salary Dependant on experience

40 Hours a week

An opportunity has become available for an experienced Purchasing Administrator to join a dynamic, exciting team in a rapidly expanding business.

Working in a small purchasing team, you will be responsible for the general administration of the department. Your main role will be to place orders with suppliers and ensure that orders are delivered on time and the corresponding paperwork is dealt with appropriately.

Key tasks include:

  • Enter purchasing orders on to the system
  • Provide reports/analysis for purchasing decisions
  • Liaise with suppliers to ensure that purchase orders are delivered correctly and on time
  • Liaise with Freight Forwarders to ensure prompt delivery of imports
  • Deal with official export paperwork
  • Book-in deliveries on to the system
  • Involvement in quality issues
  • Agreeing supplier invoices
  • Update and advise the Sales department of out of stock items and their expected due dates
  • Updating/Maintaining accurate information on the computer system, including due dates, price files and setting up new item codes
  • Filing and up-keeping of accurate records
  • Ordering and sourcing company consumables, stationery, cleaning materials, packaging materials etc
  • Assist in maintaining accurate stock records

 

Key Skills:

  • Excellent administrative and organisational skills
  • The ability to work as a team or on your own initiative
  • Experience in an administrative role, preferably in a purchasing department
  • Educated to a good standard with working knowledge of excel spreadsheets

Area Sales Manager - South East

As a leading UK distributor of doors, fittings and accessories, who have recently upgraded to a 70K sq ft UK head office, we are now looking to expand our field sales team in the South East of England.

Role:
Selling the company's full porfoilio of products to an existing customer base and developing new business in the area.
The role has an account management focus with a small % of new and prospective business.

Candidate:
The ideal candidates will have kitchen, bedroom, and appliance experience, with a proven history of business to business selling. Knowledge of customers would be an advantage.
A good potitive attitude  and business development focused with the ability to build and sustain good relationships with customers.

Trade Counter Assistant

The successful applicant will be a committed team player as this is a small team with everyone having a "hands on" attitude. Possessing excellent communication skills you will be servicing existing and potential customers, face to face at the Trade Counter.
You will posess the ability to work at a fast pace and be numerate and literate with good IT skills. Presentation is of great importance, so you must be of a excellent
appearance, truthful and trustworthy (a free uniform will be provided).

Qualifications/Experience:

  • Educated to GCSE standard, with passes C or above in Maths and English.
  • Experience of working in a Trade Counter.
  • PC literate, including Microsoft Office.

Key tasks:

  • Taking customer's orders.
  • Dealing with cash, cheques and credit cards.
  • Dealing with customer queries in an effective and professional manner.
  • Show existing and perspective customers around the Show room, promoting TKC's products.
  • Ensuring that the Trade Counter and Show room are kept clean and tidy at all times.
  • Dealing with internal departments discussing customer's accounts.
